Our refund & refunds policy lasts 28 days. If 28 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund, exchange or replacement.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Below is a list of example situations where we can’t accept a return:

  • Accidental Damage: We understand that accidents can happen. However, please be aware that if the model has been accidentally broken or damaged after delivery, it is not eligible for a return or refund. We employ thorough methods to determine the cause of damage, distinguishing between items damaged in transit and those damaged post-delivery due to improper handling. This ensures a fair and transparent process for all returns.”
  • Security Seal Tampering: If the security plastic wrapping or sealing has been removed, particularly for brands like Spark, Minichamps, and GP Replicas where the condition of the model can be verified through intact seals.
  • Usage and Assembly: If the model has been removed from its original packaging, assembled, or used in any form, affecting its resale condition.
  • Hazardous Materials: If the item contains hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases, making it unsafe or prohibited to return.
  • Packaging Integrity: If the original packaging of the item has been damaged after you’ve received it.
  • Repair Attempted: If a repair has been attempted without our permission, the product can no longer be returned.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. We cannot accept return of products that contain hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. This includes Paints, Solvents & Adhesives.

Please note: Only the product cost may be refunded. Unless agreed otherwise, additional postage & insurance fees are non-refundable.

SENDING YOUR RETURN

Once you have notified us of your return, please arrange return via a tracked return method.

We recommend using Royal Mail for smaller items and UPS for larger heavier items. For peace of mind, we also recommend insuring your item if it is worth over £100, as any returns received that have been damaged in return transit will not be offered a full refund – so you will be allowed to claim against the courier. Once you have arranged return, it is very important that you notify us of the tracking number by email to support@model-universe.com.

You are responsible for the payment of return shipping unless agreed otherwise. The original postage cost is non-refundable.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 28 days after delivery

Refund Information

Upon receipt of your returned item, our team will conduct a thorough inspection.

In cases where the item is found to have been used, opened, or tampered with, we may offer a partial refund reflecting the diminished value of the product. This determination is based on the condition of the returned item and its adherence to our return policy criteria.

We strive to process refunds promptly and will ensure any approved refund is credited back to your original method of payment within a specific number of days. Your understanding and cooperation help us maintain the quality and fairness of our returns process.

If your return is approved after inspection, we will process your refund promptly. A credit will be issued to your original method of payment within 2-3 working days. Please note that once the credit is initiated, it may take an additional 10-15 working days for the refund to be reflected in your account, depending on your bank or payment service provider. This timeline allows for the various processing stages associated with refunds through financial institutions.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded in full.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at support@model-universe.com and we’ll let you know the next steps.

Sending Returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Model Universe, 3 Hagley Court North, The Waterfront, Dudley, West Midlands, DY5 1XF, United Kingdom

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. We aim to complete the process within 7 working days.
